Lemons on canvas is an oil painting that celebrates the quiet beauty of everyday life through a simple yet striking still life composition. Set against a dark background, the lemons glow with warmth and presence, creating a strong contrast that draws the eye and gives the painting a luminous, uplifting feel.
This piece is rooted in my interest in light, texture, and the expressive potential of familiar subjects. Rather than relying on complexity, the painting focuses on clarity and atmosphere, allowing the colour and form of the lemons to become the main point of interest. The result is a work that feels both fresh and timeless, offering a small moment of brightness and calm.
